Meet the Team

Gordon Kennedy
I became Minister at Craiglockhart in 2012, following service as Minister at New Cumnock and Portpatrick and Stranraer. The bible describes Christian ministry as “prayer and the ministry of the word” (Acts 6:4), which is encouraging others to grow in knowing Jesus through the bible and by means of prayer. I am married to Fiona and I enjoy reading, opera and jazz music, but not gardening.

Gordon McBirnie
My role at church is Mission Development and Youthwork. We have various groups in the church for young people which you can find out more about elsewhere in this website. I also help to run other groups which encourage us in our discipleship. I am married to Tamzin and have two sons. I enjoy reading and DIY though I don’t seem to be very good at it.

Rev Fiona Kennedy
Ordained Local Minister

My role in the Church is as an Ordained Local Minister, working across Polwarth, Barclay Viewforth, St Michael’s and Craiglockhart, as we journey together towards a Union.

Gill Robinson
As Session Clerk I work in conjunction with the Minister to coordinate and support the work of the Kirk Session as it serves our church and parish. Another important part of my role is to be concerned with the welfare of our congregation, again in conjunction with the Minister. I also sing in our choir.
