We’re working to brighten up our church entrances and outdoor spaces with colourful flowers, planters and shrubs, to create a welcoming environment for the community while also supporting local wildlife, including bees and other pollinators.

Our gardening team does a wonderful job but their scope of work is restricted to maintenance of the grass and garden borders. We’d love to go a little further by adding more flowers and greenery throughout the grounds, whilst carefully managing our costs. Thanks to a few generous supporters who have already sponsored a planter, we’re beginning to see the difference these small additions can make.

You don’t need to be an experienced gardener or have lots of time to get involved. Through our Sponsor a Planter initiative, you can choose, purchase or create a planter and fill it with flowers, seasonal plants or colourful shrubs. We simply ask that you help keep it looking its best throughout the year with a little occasional care, such as dead-heading and replacing the flowers or bulbs across the seasons.

To make things easier, our Church Administrator will be on hand to water the planters each week as needed, helping to keep the commitment manageable for all those who wish to sponsor a planter.

If you wish to contribute to this initiative, but installing and maintaining a planter isn't your cup of tea, you can still make a difference with a small donation towards plants and flowers for the church grounds. Our Property Team will then take care of choosing and arranging the plants.

Whether you Sponsor a Planter or contribute towards flowers, you can help us create a brighter, greener and more welcoming environment for every person, insect, bird, and squirrel!
